DESCRIPTION: The Research Vessel GEOQUIP SPEER will be conducting Geotechnical Operations in Lease Area OCS-A 0544 (Excelsior Wind) waters with operations beginning May 19, 2024, and continuing through July 2025, weather permitting. Geotechnical operations will consist of multiple core samples being collected throughout the lease area. The vessel will have restricted mobility and remain stationary during survey operations. No sonar is being used and no equipment is being towed during this campaign. The CAPTAINDAVE III will be serving as a Scout Vessel.
