The Vineyard Northeast FLIDAR buoy is deployed. The buoy will remain in position for approximately 1 to 2 years. The buoy will be collecting weather data including wave height and direction, surface current, and air temperature. The buoy will also be equipped with an acoustic receiver to track the movement of Highly Migratory Species (HMS).The attached chart shows the buoy location.
