The Fisheries Representatives represent the interests of fishermen to the project, and help make sure the project is getting the information it should have about the fishing industry. Fisheries Reps represent the interests of fishermen, not the project. Fisheries Reps also help get out the word about project activities offshore, and help to make sure the project is aware of any immediate problems or concerns from fishermen.

Our Fisheries Liaison Travis Lowery visited the United Kingdom to participate in The Working Group on Offshore Wind Development and Fisheries. The working group focused on building a mutually beneficial relationship between offshore wind and fisheries.
Vineyard Wind has been contributing annually to the Commercial Fisheries Center of Rhode Island to support a mutual aid program designed to benefit households experiencing food insecurity and assist the fishing industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program purchases seafood directly from fishermen at or above market price and then donates the seafood to community organizations that provide it to families.
